This Model does not have the sewn in belt but instead has a BELT LOOP.   This bag loop opening is 2.25 and the owners can either use their own belt or use the bag with a suspender  type harness. A portion is reinforced with SCUBA web so you can carry digging tools such as the #85 or even a Raptor from Predator Tools. The Relic Elite is made to hold the better grade digging tools a pro would use.
